In-Home Euthanasia Options & Fees

Prices include all professional services rendered (the euthanasia process) and memorabilia (clay paw print and fur clippings). Prices do not include any aftercare. There is a $25 same day fee for scheduling a visit for your pet the same day of your call. Same-day appointments require increased coordination and communication with our providers to accommodate your visit with their existing schedule for the day and often involves re-routing our vehicles and/or changing the provider. This fee is due at the time of scheduling the visit and is non-refundable even if the visit does not occur.

There may be a $75 fit-in fee if we are scheduling a visit for your pet beyond our normal availability. If we are scheduling your pet as a fit-in that means we are coordinating for a provider to be available beyond their normal working hours for that day or on a day that they are not scheduled so the fee reflects the increased effort on our part to honor your request. It is due at the time of scheduling the appointment and is non-refundable even if the visit does not occur. Our client care coordinator will let you know if this fee applies and will collect it at the time of the appointment booking.

If your pet passes on their own before we arrive for the appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can notify our provider and coordinate aftercare (pick up of your pet for cremation services and/or memorialization), if applicable. We will also notify your veterinarian so you don't have to make that difficult phone call.

If your pet has severe anxiety or aggression issues and you are not able to assist the veterinarian in administering the initial sedation injection under the skin when they arrive please let us know. We can arrange to have an oral sedation kit dropped off at your home with explanation on how to use it prior to the scheduled appointment. The cost for this additional step is $50 within the 50 mile primary radius for Ithaca and Syracuse areas and 30 mile primary radius for Rochester and $100 beyond the 50/30 mile radius. The majority of pets we help do not need this additional step, please discuss this with the veterinarian when you call if you think your pet will need pre-sedation prior to arrival.

Comfort Center Euthanasia Prices & Options

* The after-hours fee applies to appointments at 5pm or after during the week or anytime during a weekend or holiday. Our Comfort Center availability is limited based on scheduling and we generally are not available for after hours Comfort Center visits at this time.

Water-Based Cremation Prices & Options

Pick-Up Fee

If your pet passes away at home or at your veterinarian's office and you opt for water based cremation services, the following pick-up fees apply. (Unfortunately we are unable to offer any drop-off hours at this time.)

Quality of Life Assessment Options & Fees

Appointments are generally 60 minutes long and do not include any medical care or therapies.

* Any procedures, labwork, medications, supplies, or other services are additional and we will inform you of the costs before proceeding with them. We have many items that have been donated by other families to help other pets that are free to borrow as long as you need them.

There is a $75 add-on fee for any appointments scheduled after 5pm, on weekends, or holidays

In-Home Pet Care Options & Fees

* We do not offer any pro-rating of monthly fees or refunds after the monthly fee is paid.

Laser Therapy Prices & Options

Laser therapy visits are $155 per visit all in the comfort of your own home! Laser sessions are also available as an add-on therapy for only $25 at any of our hospice and palliative care visits if your pet is enrolled in either program.

Cancellation Fees

We understand that circumstances with your pet's health may change prior to your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call or email before 8am the day of the scheduled appointment to avoid being billed for services. If you are canceling after 8am the day of your scheduled visit there will be a $150 cancellation fee because late cancellations prevent us from providing services to other families. We may take a deposit the next time a visit is scheduled, if we received less than 24 hours notice of a previous visit cancellation.
